Several people I know come home from the office very tired. They say they are stressed out everyday on a mental level. Some of those I know have reported unnecessary aggressive behaviors while some are depressed or continuously thinking about the events that happened throughout the day. Stress and depression are so common these days that even children are familiar with these terms.
To overcome this problem several employers have started providing meditation halls at the work floor for their employees, and provide periodic sessions on yoga and meditation. Then, there are employers who conduct fun activities on the work floor, take the employees for parties (including alcoholic beverages), some provide Gyms, Table Tennis or Snooker Table etc. But do these techniques help?
The problem is the negative energy generated by some (or many) people due to the competitive environment to achieve their goals.
I know someone who got married to a very talented lady. Now, some people are jealous of him just because he got a very talented wife!
Non-talented ambitious people would often want to get ahead of their colleagues and if the colleague is also non-talented then the battle begins on mental level. This struggle would generate lots of negative energy via negative thoughts.
Yet some people are able to generate more negative energy than others. You must have felt sometimes that after meeting a particular person you start feeling low. Some people are sensitive enough to feel disorientation and even headache after meeting such people.
They think it is “Evil Eye” but it is actually the negative energy of that person influencing your Aura.
Imagine a person with lot of negative energy is sitting next to you in your workplace! You can not avoid him/her. You have to sit with him/her for 8-10 hours!
To make the things worse open office concept is quite common these days!
Open office culture gives them the opportunity to closely observe your computer screens and generate more negative thoughts (for example jealousy, insecurity etc.).
असाधुजनसंपर्के पलायति स जीवति
While we were teenagers, older people would often say, “असाधुजनसंपर्के पलायति स जीवति”, which means ‘only those survive who avoid the company of wicked ones’. They often advised to read good books, watch good TV shows and chant the name of God. They saw it as a source of positive energy.
Anything we listen to, speak, see or get involved in has some kind of energy associated with it and the basic nature of energy is to keep transferring until it is neutralized.
In my school, our principal teacher had instructed the parents to not allow their children watch movies. Several years later she told us that she did this to prevent us watching several inhuman scenes (such as murder, rape, torture, abuse etc.) which could negatively influence the minds of children.
It was easier to choose friends in school or college but in the workplace you have no option but to deal with certain set of people or sit where your employer wants you to.
It is very important to avoid the contact of people that carry excessive negative energy. This negative energy is generated from their negative thoughts and can be easily transferred to the person who gets in touch with them.
The one who talks with the Paapi (पापी, impious or sinful person), touches him/her, eats, sits, sleeps or travels with him/her the person gets infected by the Paapa (पाप, impious act) of that Paapi. Garuda Puran
Regular practice is the key to success in all of the above methods. Another important factor is duration. Whichever the technique may be; it yields best results when performed regularly for suitable duration at fix timings.
