Manager is just another employee. Manager is also reporting to his/her manager. Manager is not the owner of that organization. When people say, “they don’t leave companies, they leave managers”, they are saying only half the truth. Or more possibly, they can realize only half the truth.
Buttering or "Makkhan Lagana" is a word commonly used to disrespect those people who like to admire good things in others and say it in their face. With increasing professionalism the good words said in the face are most often misunderstood as asking for some kind of favor and they call it buttering.
Now, there could be duplicate butter as well, in the market which could be hazardous to health but I believe original butter in the right quantity is beneficial for health and should be consumed if available.
When there is a hidden agenda behind praising someone the butter is duplicate but when it is just the nature of the person the butter is original.
A professor from some university had a few questions on Zen practices so he visited a Japanese Zen Master 'Nan-in'. Nan-in poured tea in the visitor's cup and kept pouring. The cup was full yet Nan-in would not stop. He kept pouring despite knowing that the tea was overflowing from the cup.
The professor could not resist this scene for long. He asked with surprise, "why are you pouring tea in a cup which is already full. No more will get into it now."
